So you want to start streaming? Well let's jump in!
Equipment
PC/Laptop/Console/Mobile
Microphone
Headset
Game Capture Device
Choosing a Platform
Deciding which platform you want to stream on can depend on a few factors:
If you already have a follower count on a platform, you'd probably want to start there
Ease of streaming or what you are streaming from - if you're streaming on mobile; you'd probably want to use Tiktok Live, Instagram Live, Facebook Live, or Streamlabs Mobile to stream on Twitch.
Choosing a Software
There are lot more options when it comes to softwares. Each software has different advantages, widgets, cpu/gpu pull and abilities. You'd have to play around with these to find the one that best suits you and your streaming situation.
Equipment
You don't need a lot to get started! If you have a console, PC, or even a phone you're already halfway there.
You'd need a microphone to talk to your viewers. Any microphone will do, but not all microphones will sound good.
Next up is headphones. These are mainly for hearing your content, but also for hearing alerts triggered by your streaming software.
Now this last piece is optional and entirely dependent on what you are streaming on.
If you're streaming on a console and want to stream on Twitch, you'll need a Game Capture Device. This will allow you to run your gameplay through your chosen software and broadcast it to the platform of your choosing.
